Welcome to The EIC Environmental Investment Network
Supporting investment in environmental technologies and services
The latest figures for the UK environmental goods and services industry show the sector had a turnover of £25 billion and employed around 400,000. The Government has estimated that this figure will increase to over £34 billion by 2010 and £46 billion by 2015. If current trends continue, the size of the UK environmental goods and services industry will have more than doubled within 20 years.
Despite these figures, securing funding to develop new environmental technologies and services is often a major hurdle for many businesses, particularly start-ups and those lacking an established track-record. Support for small and medium size businesses and academic institutions is urgently required and it is on this basis The EIC Environmental Investment Network was developed.
